The 1830 Davignon 9-I is a member of the Buck-Toothed Eagle family. All examples are known struck on a billon planchet. To-date, only about a dozen examples of this variety have been documented. This makes this roughly the 6th 'most common' variety from this counterfeit CBH family. This variety easily blends in with other genuine CBHs and can be tough to identify as a counterfeit, especially in lower grades.
This example is evenly circulated with a bit stronger obverse than reverse. No real distrcting marks although the reverse has some old, thin scratches.
