This variety comes from the Clinton Head family. Only 3 examples of this variety have been documented, and one of the top collections of counterfeit CBHs doesn't even own this variety! All examples studied were struck on German silver planchets.
 
Yes, this piece is well worn. Yes, it's got X scratches probably informing others that it's not genuine. There's 5 circular punches on the obverse. But, it's a super rare variety. If I had the opportunity to add a population 3 or less variety in my collection for under $100, I would do it instantly and wait for an upgrade, if one ever came up, later.
