The 1858 Z1-C is the most common hand-made, die struck contemporary counterfeit Seated quarter variety. At least 100 are estimated to exist. Conditions vary from well worn and beat up to the rarely encountered AU/Unc with the silver plating intact.  This example is above average in terms of condition. It has at least EF details, the dentil clashing by the eagle's neck is bold, and it is an earlier die state without some of the reverse cracks which form later. The obverse appears to have some metal mixing issue with the lighter discoloration streak. Otherwise, this is a solid piece to add to your collection which won't break the bank.
