1861 Z3-H is a hand-made die contemporary counterfeit Seated quarter struck on a copper planchet. It is a relatively common variety with an estimated 250 examples extant. Most examples show extensive wear in the Fine and lower grades.
 
This examples is well worn in the VG grade range. The planchet surfaces are in very nice condition with a uniform color. There is a rim ding below the date and a dig in the reverse field above the eagle.
