Here is a third unusual group - a nearly complete date-run, if you will, of 7, 1811 to 1818 altered date Braided hair Large Cents except for the rare 1814. I can only speculate that these date alterations occurred in the 19th century, possibly as a result of the scarcity and/or greater expense of the earlier-dated (and unaltered) large cents for which these now mimic. The highlight of this group is the fantasy dated 1815. Another piece worth noting is the 1816 whose reverse was also altered into a brothel token - very rare combination with an obverse altered date.  A couple pieces were photographed in their 2x2 cardboard-cellophane holders, and thus have some glare. Overall, this is cool collection of Large Cents which can compliment some of the earlier-dated altered date Large Cents also available, such as key dates 1799 and 1804.
